Steam Whistle Brewery
The history of craft brewing in Canada got even more interesting with the introduction of Steam Whistle — a beer dreamed up in the spring of 1998 by three friends on a canoe trip in Ontario’s beautiful heartland.
Our Kitchen is one of the most special places at the Roundhouse. Housed in a former bottling area of the brewery, there is seating for up to 100. Relax with a Steam Whistle pilsner and grab a bite from our from-scratch seasonal menu. Our food menu is hand-crafted created by our Chef Calvin Lee and inspired by the beverage of its namesake - contemporary and uniquely Canadian. Enjoy a selection our in-house beers, seltzers, Ontario wines and bar rail. Sit out on a sun-soaked patio, complete with original cobblestones and tucked between vintage trains, simply look to the sky to see Toronto’s iconic landmark, the CN tower.
Born at the Roundhouse, home of the Steam Locomotives that connected our nation, Steam Whistle honours an era of quality craftsmanship, using four all-natural ingredients to brew Canada’s Pilsner.
At Steam Whistle Brewing, we live by our motto: Do one thing really, really well. This singular focus means we have the time and opportunity to aim for perfection.
