Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington is set to transform into a winter wonderland this holiday season from Dec. 5 to Jan. 5.

Winter Wonders will be taking over Hendrie Park with “dazzling lights, festive installations, and enchanting displays” according to the event’s website.

Here’s what you can expect at this year’s Winter Wonders:

  • Interactive installations: Including a “singing tree” — you can sing to spark light reactions and there are rows of light structures to walk through.

  • Shop at the Gardens: Featuring holiday gifts and merchandise from local artisans.

  • Botanical train display: Seven lines of model train tracks navigate through a backdrop of 2,500 plants and scale models of iconic Canadian landmarks, constructed from plant materials

  • Indoor seasonal displays: RBG’s Breezeway and Mediterranean Garden get the seasonal treatment as they’re lit and dressed up for the season.

  • Atrium bar: Featuring live music

  • Sips and bites: RBG’s team will serve a “rotating menu of festive snacks and warm drinks” that guests can purchase from any of the three stations along the walk.
