Toronto’s own SUSO Skate Co. is officially bringing its famous pop-up roller rink to Burlington!
What is SUSO Skate Co.?
Founded in 2021 as a pandemic side-hustle at Toronto’s Bentway, SUSO (short for Summer Solstice) has grown into a GTA phenomenon. They specialize in "reimagining underutilized spaces"—taking empty big-box stores and parking garages and turning them into nostalgic, disco-inspired roller rinks.
What to Expect at Mapleview
The former Decathlon space is massive, which means plenty of room to catch some speed or practice your crossovers. Here’s the breakdown:
Rental & Gear: Don’t own skates? No problem. SUSO offers quad skate rentals that include wrist guards. If you have your own pair, you can book a "Bring Your Own Skates" slot for a lower fee.
The Vibe: Expect curated playlists, aesthetic lighting, and a total throwback atmosphere that feels like a scene straight out of the 80s or 90s.
Why Burlington?
After successful runs in Brampton, Oshawa, and North York, Burlington was a natural next step. By taking over the Decathlon unit, SUSO is giving locals a reason to head to the mall for more than just shopping—it’s about movement, music, and a bit of nostalgic fun.
