The holidays feel extra magical when history comes to life — and Victorian Christmas at Dundurn Castle is a perfect way to experience the season through a timeless lens. Running from November 24, 2025 to January 7, 2026, this beloved Hamilton tradition invites visitors to explore the castle beautifully dressed for the holidays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
As you wander through the grand rooms, you’ll find cedar boughs, ribbons, and dried flowers decorating every corner, just as they would have been in the 19th century. Along the way, you’ll learn how families celebrated the season through Victorian traditions and early Canadian holiday customs — a warm blend of history, storytelling, and festive charm.
It’s a wonderful outing for families, history lovers, and anyone looking to slow down and soak in the spirit of the season in a truly special way.
