Burlington’s lakefront will come alive on Saturday, August 16, 2025 as Burlington VegFest takes over Spencer Smith Park from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This one-day celebration of compassionate, healthy, and sustainable living promises delicious food, inspiring speakers, live music, family-friendly activities, and an abundance of cruelty-free shopping.

The event is free to attend, with visitors encouraged to support the Burlington VegFest Vegan Food Drive, benefiting the Burlington Food Bank. Instead of bringing non-perishable items, guests can make a cash donation to ensure all contributions are 100% vegan. Each $10 donation will earn an entry into a prize draw.

What to Expect:
Burlington VegFest is a 100% vegan event, welcoming everyone—from seasoned vegans to the simply curious. Food vendors, workshops, kids’ activities, live entertainment, and a vibrant marketplace will showcase the diversity and creativity of plant-based living.

The festival is all outdoors and will run rain or shine, unless severe weather forces changes. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bags, a refillable water bottle, and perhaps a blanket or folding chair to relax by the stage. With no ATM on site, bringing some cash is recommended for vendors that don’t accept cards.

Getting There & Parking:
Spencer Smith Park is located at 1400 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington, ON, in the heart of downtown. Parking is extremely limited on site, so visitors are encouraged to use public parking lots, street parking, or public transit. The Burlington GO Station connects to the park via Burlington Transit buses 10, 2, or 3, and is also walkable in about 30 minutes.

Pet-Friendly & Family-Friendly:
Leashed dogs are welcome, and the event offers plenty of activities for all ages. While alcohol is not permitted, the lively atmosphere, great food, and lakefront views promise a memorable summer day.
