Discover the spaces you’ve walked past for years, but never truly seen. Doors Open Burlington is back this Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a rare glimpse inside the city's most fascinating businesses, historic buildings, and community hubs. This free event is your passport to connect with Burlington in a whole new way.

Participants can explore a diverse lineup of locations, from archeology labs and art galleries to bee farms, robotics workshops, and century-old churches. Here are some of the featured stops:

  • Archaeological Services Inc. – Tour an active archeology lab and join hands-on activities that bring Burlington’s past to life.

  • Art Gallery of Burlington – Enjoy informal guided tours and a live clay demo in the Lee-Chin Family Gallery.

  • Backed by Bees – Walk the Pollinator Path, take guided tours, and learn about honey and local food production.

  • Burlington Community Robotics – Get behind the controls of real robots and take home a DIY mini-robot.

  • Burlington Lions Club - Come and celebrate 100 years of community service with the Burlington Lions Club! Visit Lions Hall and learn about their history in the community and how generations of Lions have been helping generations of Burlington residents.

  • Burlington Masonic Centre – Step into the history of the world’s largest fraternal organization.

  • Kilbride United Church – Tour this historic sanctuary, largely unchanged for over a century.

  • Knox Presbyterian Church – Admire the original Bell Tower Room and intricate stained glass windows.

  • Lowville Schoolhouse – Visit a restored 1889 schoolhouse and learn about the Field and Stream Rescue Team’s conservation work.
